Product Description: Kutani ware is a painted ceramic produced in the south of Ishikawa prefecture. It is a traditional craft that is popular since Edo period. Kutani Ware is well known on hand painted pattern, the handwork is very detailed and unique. The difference between Kutani ware and other common ceramics in Japan is the unique on-glaze decoration, the colours are mostly bright and bold with a mixture of western style to create a brand new design and style. These might be one of the reasons that Kutani ware is vastly famous.
